Indications

Postoperatively for:

• Akin osteotomies (with the MA Spacer (MIS Akin Spacer) Toe Separator)
• Chevron osteotomies
• DMMO (distal metatarsal metaphyseal osteotomies)
• Claw toe/hammer toe osteotomies
• Curly toe osteotomies
• Digitus quintus varus osteotomies
• Tailor's bunions osteotomies
• Tenotomies

Examples of use:

Purpose:

• dynamic stabilisation
• no binding
• early functional aftercare possible
• individual control

Features:

• elastic and stretchable by approx. 60 %
• can be applied easily and individually
• tape placement can be easily corrected
• tapes in two different lengths for individual anatomic adjustment
• can be worn for several days without restrictions
• provides a longer hold than wound closure strips
• prefabricated and ready for use
• kind to the skin

Place the MA Spacer (MIS Akin Spacer) Toe Separator between the first and second toes.
The notch points in a proximal direction; make sure that there is no hollow space in a proximal direction between the MA Spacer and the space between the toes. The longer part points in a dorsal direction and the short part is for use in the plantar region.
Use MECRON ReadyDressment Strips to fix the toe separator.
