Description:
One product - many applications
A walker can be assembled from the Splinting System with the aid of the high Relief Dual® Plus Off-loading Shoe, which offers many individual adjustment options.
DAW (DARCO Achilles Wedges) Heel Wedges for Walkers:
DAW Heel Wedges consist of 3 wedges in different lengths. A wedge has a height of approx. 11 mm. Depending on the number of wedges used, the height varies and the angle of plantar flexion can, therefore, be adjusted individually. 3 wedges are equivalent to approx. 120° slant. The wedges are placed on top of each other according to the foot length and the desired angle of plantar flexion and fixed to the heel area of the walker using adhesive dots. Depending on the therapy course, the wedges can be removed step by step and, thus, the height adjusted. The wedges are available in one standard size and can, therefore, be used universally for all sizes of walker. They can be used on the right and left.
Integrated pump:
For a customised fit, the volume of the air chambers can be increased using the pump attached to the side for additional stabilisation of the ankle joint. To reduce the volume, the valve can be used again to release air.
Automatic modification of the width:
The width of the Splinting System automatically adjusts to the circumference of the patient's calf. If necessary, the adjuster can be cut out if the calves are particularly wide.
Exchangeable insole:
If desired, the Splinting System can be combined with another compatible DARCO insole.
Cleaning:
If slightly soiled, the shoe, splint and grey insole can be wiped with a damp cloth or cleaned with commercially available disinfectant. The blue liner components (calf and front liner and forefoot strap) can be removed from the splint and washed at 60° C in a washing machine.
Backpack:
All varaints of the Relief Insert® Walker 2.0 are supplied in a functional backpack. The hands remain free to ensure safe walking with walking aids. The backpack can also be used as a fashion accessory after the treatment has finished.
